PRIVACY

Privacy at MED+250

This notice explains how the current MED+250 marketplace uses location, contact, request, and prescription information.

Information used for an availability request

MED+250 uses your selected products, quantities, fulfilment preference, location, verified WhatsApp number, and any prescription you choose to attach. Anonymous sign-in identifies a browser session; it does not make request or health data anonymous. A short-lived one-time code confirms that you control the WhatsApp number before a request can be sent.

Location and pharmacy matching

Your browser asks before sharing location. MED+250 prioritises and assigns up to 20 verified pharmacies closest to the request location, with a verified responder fallback when approved premises coordinates are unavailable. Assigned pharmacies initially receive only an approximate distance—or a national-service label—and the product information and available catalogue images needed to decide whether they can fulfil it.

Contact and prescription access

Your exact contact details and private prescription are withheld until you choose a responding pharmacy. Prescription access uses a short-lived link and is limited to the selected pharmacy's order workflow.

WhatsApp notifications, prices and MoMo

MED+250 uses the WhatsApp Cloud API to deliver one-time verification codes, assigned request alerts to pharmacies, and response alerts to customers. Delivery status is recorded for reliability. Central catalogue prices are indicative only, and MED+250 does not publish pharmacy-specific prices or stock. Opening a pharmacy chat or the phone's MoMo menu leaves MED+250 and is governed by the relevant service and your mobile operator. MED+250 does not process or hold the payment.

Questions and corrections

Pharmacy staff can request a correction to their registered WhatsApp contact from the pharmacy portal. For other privacy requests and complaints, contact the MED+250 administrator through the contact channel provided in the marketplace.
